See the adorable puffins and experience the beautiful Icelandic nature!
Puffins are an amazing and adorable bird, and some people may not realize we can go puffin watching straight from Reykjavik. There is a colony of roughly 30,000 puffins just off the coast! We sail out on our lovely wooden boat “Old Skuli” and reach the puffin islands in about 15 minutes. The guide will share their extreme wealth of knowledge on the puffins as well as the other sea birds that can be found on the shores of Iceland. This is also the perfect opportunity to see the city from a different & unique angle!
Puffin tour duration: 09:30-10:30
After returning to the harbour, your pickup for the Hot Springs & Lava Caves will begin at 11:30 from the Special Tours ticket office to take you to the magical underworlds of Iceland – the famous volcano called Hengill and its lava caves! The guides will share with you how the lava caves are formed along with numerous interesting facts. After you have enjoyed the secrets of the caves the experienced mountain guides will take you to Hengill geothermal area, passing by the hot springs and bubbling mud pools and finishing off with a soak in the natural baths of Reykjadalur.
