After an afternoon of whale watching, warm up in the lovely Fontana Spa before beginning your search for the Northern Lights!
Winter whale watching departing from the heart of the city, Reykjavik’s Old Harbour, at 13:00 on the big and family friendly Andrea.
The Andrea has an interactive and educational focus on-board so you will get a good chance to know more about these amazing animals that live the ocean. Put on an overall on-board to keep you warm and dry when searching for the cetaceans out on Faxaflói bay (overalls also available in children’s sizes!). The four most common species we encounter are minke whales, white-beaked dolphins, humpback whales, and harbour porpoises.
You will depart from the BSÍ Bus Terminal in Reykjavík at 18:00 with Reykjavik Excursions for the warm and cosy Fontana geothermal baths where you can relax after a day out at sea. After dining on local cuisine at Fontana we then head out in search of the northern lights. Bus transfers to and from the city are included in your booking, but hotel pick-up is not. If you would like to add hotel transfers for an additional fee to either tour, please contact us after you have made your booking.
