Fast moving minke whale
The wind remained from southeast but had increased a little since this morning. As we sailed on the course to northwest we received the wind and therefore also the wave from the rear, making it a rather smooth motion.
We entered the feeding ground and detected some bird movement. We searched the area and all of a sudden a fast moving minke whale appeared heading east. It came to the surface several times before diving again. We stayed on this location and it appeared again now heading west. We searched the area further and as it did not reappear we continued on the course to southeast.

Northeast wind and brief minke whales
This morning the wind was from south east and increased slightly over the course of the wildlife excursion. Visibility was good and the clouds started parting so that the sun cloud shed some light on the bay of Faxaflói.
When we got out to the feeding ground there was some presence of seabirds that we observed, as it is the first sign we always look for. Our colleagues gave us the information that they had sighted a minke whale. We went to their location and aided them in the search of that area.
From there we the course was set to the north were we searched well. At a spot further to the north east from there, movement of two minke whale was reported. We went there and search well until one was sighted but only briefly.
Since the sightings this morning were very brief we offered our passengers a complimentary ticket to try again.
