Reykjavik Whale Watching Diary 27th April 2014

27.Apr 2014

Tour at 9:00

At Reykjavík Harbour the day started beautifully with sun and no wind. But nature had something else in mind for us today. As soon as we had left the harbour the wind started up, despite the wind we did find a Minke Whale and after a good chase we got to follow it around for a good while. The mist that had been on the bay cleared away and we got a great view of the glacier Snæfellsjökull.

The wind had picked up even more and made it a bit difficult for us to spot anything. In spite of tough conditions we found a pod of White Beaked Dolphins that we got to watch. And the waves came of good use as we got to see the group inside the waves on several occasions.
