A Humpback & Dolphins

13:00 – Classic 

It was quite a warm day when we took our Andrea for the whale watching tour this afternoon.
Just before we left Kollafjörður we encountered a huge pod of white-beaked dolphins. There were many adults in company of several just recently born juveniles. While we sailed further on, the sun turned the sky in beautiful coloures and made the mountains, which are still covered by snow, look fantastic! We turned north east when in the distance we spotted a huge blow which belonged to an amazing humpback whale. We watched this individual surfacing and diving – showing its fluke – until time was calling us back to Reykjavík!
