A great puffin season so far!

We have had such a great start to the puffin season, and well, we are half way through now. The puffins have settled into their nesting on the islands just outside of Reykjavik and the one we visit most often is called Akurey. There are about 30.000 puffins nesting on the islands so it is quite guaranteed you will see some on the way. Sometimes they are flying over us, some are paddling away on the ocean and others wobbling around on the islands – they are just too cute!
