Would you like to experience whales in all their glory?
Go out at sea to see the live version, and then to the museum to see how big these cetaceans actually are!
While out in the bay looking at the whales, you might not fully understand how amazingly big these animals are.
So either before or after the tour we recommend stopping by at Whales of Iceland on the other side of the harbour to get a feeling for how small we humans are compared to the ocean wildlife.
On the Whale Watching tour we sail out to Faxaflói bay where we search for the common whales in the area, such as humpback whales, minke whales, white-beaked dolphins and harbour porpoises. We get a feeling of their behavior in the wild.
At Whales of Iceland, the largest whale museum in Europe, all 23 species that can be found in the surrounding waters of Iceland are shown in real size, and you learn many interesting facts about the whales and their history.
