The Northern lights forecast looked promising and sea conditions were fine as well so we got our beautiful boat Andrea ready for an evening cruise. The weather had been changing fast the entire day but the sky was clear and that is always the most important thing :)
We went closer to inspect, and what we found were two humpback whales feeding together.
We are sailing tonight for our Northern Lights by Boat tour 🙂
Today we sailed from the harbour in Grindavík, which is located to the south west of Reykjanes peninsula. We set course to the south west and then making our way to the west along the south coast of the peninsula.
We were all very excited to sail out for our Northern lights tour(s) last night since the forecast looked veeeeery promising. The sky was perfctly clear and Northern lights activity was high as well. Perfect conditions.
We left the old harbour in Reykjavik and set course to the north west. The visibility was good so the Reykjanes peninsula was well present with the volcano Keilir in a winter coat.
