During the morning tour the wind was very strong and the sea was choppy. After a while we found some Minke whales in the feeding area. 

Dense grey clouds hanging from the skies over the Bay, rough green seas with decent white crested waves and clear scenery: such a gorgeous morning! Today in the morning Rósin cruised breaking the waves towards the Whale fjord. The brave passengers took the wildlife adventure as a whole and enthusiastically worked as a team trying to spot a whale in the horizon.

The roughness of the water welcomed our Whale watching express boat today in the morning.The rockiness of the boat was intense, but the passengers took the adventure fully and decided to stay out on the top deck. The choppiness constantly tricked us when trying to spot the whale.

Friday morning started with summer sun rays finally hitting Icelandic land! Yet, the breeze blew strongly and caused, especially out in Faxaflói bay, some waving. It took us around thirty minutes to cruise out to the whale watching area, around 10 miles away from the shore.

This morning the sea remained calm with a flat sea, slow wind and sun, as we headed out from the Old Harbour into the bay of Faxaflói.

Despite the rainy day the whale watching tour was very nice and pleasant, the sea was flat as a mirror and we had nice views of the city skyline. Thanks to the enthusiasm of our passengers, always working as a team, we spotted the first Minke Whale. 

The 14 pm tour had even a curios Minke whale investigating the Rosin (express). It was Amazing the Minke whale dove under the boat and circled around the boat. 

That was very exciting 🙂   

Today we had a special visitor in our waters during our afternoon tours.

During our afternoon tour we spotted a Humpback Whale in front of us! We were sure, that couldn’t be the spout of a Minke Whale. It’s bigger.

Another calm day with a super relaxed humpback whale, many Minke whales and playful pods of dolphins riding underneath the boat!

The morning seas welcomed us with strong breeze and choppy waters, yet we were very lucky to encounter, soon after entering the bay, a pod of White Beaked Dolphins. Tour at 13

We had to sail out quite far until we found our first Minke Whale on this trip. This animal surfaced once and then preferred to stay under water for some time so we kept on sailing and found some White Beaked Dolphins.
