After sailing out into the bay, we spotted something popping out of the water, turns out it was a Harbour Porpoise. We then noticed that a few of them were around us, even though they were shy we spotted at least 5 of them.
We have to cancel our whale watching tour due to rough conditions at sea
This turned out to be a Humpback whale, but it didn’t seem to have gotten the memo that the whale watching tours started early, because it was asleep!
The activity was not very strong but the perfectly clear sky and the darkness allowed us to enjoy the show
With almost complete visibility, slow wind and calm sea we headed north west out on the bay
After a while we spotted a large fin coming out of the water, when we got closer we saw it was an Orca.
