Out again on the bay of Faxaflói, to the west, we ran into two pods of fast moving harbour porpoises
All passengers were offered to join us for a whale watching tour or northern lights in the future 🙂
On our way there a tourist spotted a whale, so we turned the boat around and indeed there was a whale there, a Humpack whale that gave us a good show, lifting its tail several times!
No tour at 09:00 today due to rough conditions at sea, we might sail this afternoon if the conditions improve
Unfortunately we are not able to go ahead with our northern lights by boat tour tonight due to the heavy cloud cover
This morning the wind was slow, from the east, and the sea was calm as we headed north west out on the bay. We had only sailed for a short while when we heard of a minke whale to the south so our captain changed the course to south west.
The forecast looked promising for yesterday evening so we got our lovely boat Andrea ready for her evening cruise. It was a bit windy and therefore veeeery cold and our warm overalls were in high demand 🙂 At 22:00 we left the harbour and the city lights behind and sailed onto Faxaflói bay.
